Accuracy Issues for Spatial Update of Digital Cadastral Maps

چکیده
All geospatial data are updated periodically. Cadastral parcel mapping, however, has special update requirements that set it apart from other data. Mapped boundaries change continuously to fit with new survey plans. Additionally, parcels have be fitted and aligned adjoining merge them into existing cadastral mapping. An interpretation system for cadastral maps
To create a spatial database for some GIS application, it is a big challenge to recognize automatically all the simple and complex map objects on scanned maps. This paper presents a robust map interpretation system developed to process Hungarian land register maps (cadastral maps). Processing starts with a raster-tovector conversion generating a raw vector image from the scanned map. All recogn...
متن کاملAccuracy of an Intraoral Digital System for File Length Measurement
Introdouction: Canal length measurement is essential for proper endodontic treatment. Any error or miscalculation in working length determination, particularly in curved canals, can result in complications during or after root canal therapy. Digital radiography has enabled accurate measurement of curved canal length. In this study, we evaluated the accuracy of calibration of a complementary m...
متن کاملUsing Matching Algorithms for Improving Locations in Cadastral Maps
SUMMARY When integrating two different cadastral maps, points represent the same real-world location should be identified and matched. The commonly used Nearest-Neighbor (NN for short) join may be applied in order to match between objects from the two sources. Yet, this method has several evident drawbacks. First, the NN join is not symmetric, i.e. it depends on the matching direction. Second, ...
متن کاملA Procedure for Segmenting Touching Numbers in Cadastral Maps
We present a procedure to split (or segment) touching numerals. We are neither assuming a dominant orientation for the text direction nor long character strings. The basic idea is to compute the convex hull of the outer contour, to choose a baseline from one of the sides of the convex hull and to project the pixels of the touching characters (either perpendicularly or at a slant). Lu's function...
متن کاملAutomatic Registration of Oblique Aerial Images with Cadastral Maps
In recent years, oblique aerial images of urban regions have become increasingly popular for 3D city modeling, texturing, and various cadastral applications. In contrast to images taken vertically to the ground, they provide information on building heights, appearance of facades, and terrain elevation. Despite their widespread availability for many cities, the processing pipeline for oblique im...
